Morning all, It's Sunday morning and I'm uploading files to network drives. I think I need to go for a walk. Afternoon all.
Just put in a new router (Netgear D6400) to replace the Openreach modem and previous router (also netgear) combo. Saves me a plug socket and presumably a tiny bit of electricity. All good so far although the broadband speed seems to have dropped a little (from about 20 Mbps to about 18 Mbps). Will give it a few days and see if things recover.
And yes, I downloaded the latest firmware that fixes the security flaw that was recently flagged on Netgear routers (in fact the setup deely did that itself as soon as the connection was up).

Is that a variation of "Red sky at night, shepherd's delight"? Morning all, Well, that was a hectic first half hour... print server went down and the way people were reacting you'd think the sky was falling. Fixed it.
