X404 is redirecting to about:blank in IE again. :(

People use IE? lol

There isn't a lot of choice on a tablet. Firefox sucks, because it doesn't do touch at all and Chrome just emulates ChromeOS in Modern mode and also sucks at touch.

Another reason for getting an iPad :)

No choice at work. IE8 increasingly sucks the big 'un (mind you, that was true when it was 'current').

Better look for another job then :)

But an iPad doesn't run our corporate software and the version of Office is very restricted and I don't particularly like iOS.

A Windows tablet does everything I need and it is a laptop and a desktop, I only need the one device and it covers every situation I need. If I had an iPad, I'd also need a notebook and desktop docking station. With the Surface, I have a tablet with a docking station and a keyboard cover for when I need to type a lot on the move.

Our sales manager had an iPad, didn't really know what he should do with it, other than read email - for everything else he dug out his ThinkPad. He switched to an SP3 after seeing mine.

Likewise, we have just bought another 3 for our support team.

Just had another "Windows Support Centre" call trying to scam me. I hammed it up something rotten: "OH MY GOD, VIRUSES YOU SAY? BUT WHAT SHOULD I DO?"

Managed to spin it out for 15 minutes, a personal best for me. Then I mentioned that I use a Mac... *Click* ... "Er, hello? Hello? Well, how rude!"
:-)

It's the little things in life that amuse me!

Sometimes, when you look, the universe serves up wonderful symmetry.
Thanks to Facebook, I now know the (former) object of my affections and her fella went to see the Michael Jackson thing at the theatre.
So, that's the guy 20+ years older than her taking her to see a show about a guy who liked hanging around kids 20 years younger than him.

And the mysterious Facebook comment is now explained.

Maybe they'll do an Apple Watch strap.

Not bought anything from them for a while. I'm rather sad that my small collection of rings I have don't fit me any more, especially the one my grandma financed when I graduated.

I didn't pay that laughable amount, but the watch went straight back - there was no way of adjusting the time without slightly damaging the watch each instance! Who wants to pry off a face to get at a tiny wheel? The main joints would only have lasted a few months too. Raging.

Random meeting. I was on my way home from a car club AGM, stopped at a motorway services for a break and randomly met someone I used to work with. We live quite a way apart from each other, he was on on his way to an airport to collect his wife. Just odd how at times, randomness means that you run into people you know like that.

So we had a catch up over a drink before we headed off on our own journeys.

What a pile of sh1t work will have stored up tomorrow. People are already going off sick with stress, and it's only gonna get worse because you've got a 'management team' who talk about people while they're in the room! The bitchiness is hanging out of it
