Waxed jackets / coats need to be rewaxed every couple of years, its a right pain to do, but given the cost of them. :D

Newsflash from Mrs. V... Danielle has just won that Dorothy programme. The northen one, not the ginger Welshist girl, apparently.

Does anyone care?, Naaah, me neither ;)

I have a feeling after the incidents last night, and the realisation that whoever nicked my USB stick from uni has been messing about on my server (deleted the "DO NOT DELETE" folder with my source code in) and having to attempt to re-do a few days worth of work to get a working product and having no time to prepare my presentation won't go too well.

Combined with the apparent quality of the work I have a feeling I might fail the most important module of the year and have a major impact on what I get when I graduate :(

Given the theft, surely you can make a reasonable application for an extension to your deadline?

It happened after I submitted the work, It got nicked when I was printing the work out for another assignment soon after (stupidly I left the secure login details for an ftp account where I had the work stored in it, so that backup was missing, last backup I have was from about a few days to a week before the submission, which isn't ideal but I could work from.

If I get an extension I don't graduate in July to put it simply, I have been against the clock enough as it is with illness and catching up in other areas. Just want to get it done and out of the way tbh.

Going to let my supervisor + 2nd marker know what has happened at the start of the presentation and just treat it as changes from the version I had, I kept a not of what I changed last night to the product and hopefully it's not too dissimilar to what I handed in.

Is there any chance that they could lend you a copy to photocopy? At least then you'd be reading from the same sheet...

It says I can make minor changes, I don't think I have included too much but I'm going to let them know, I can't demo with the other code so there isn't a huge point in asking tbh :(

Got it in 20 minutes, not really looking forward to it, but got some other news which has relaxed me a fair bit though, and after this it's all over and I can start seriously job hunting. Need to call a company who were really interested in having a chat when I had finished based in the North East, interesting start up place and the creator seemed really easy to get on with

Well it's done.

Could have gone better, my demos broke, got one working but the 2nd one wouldnt, but annoyingly I know HOW it is broken and couldn't fix it

Presentation seemed to go down well (3 slides, 3 bulletpoints per slide and a chart at the end) although the chart needed a lot of explaining

Guess I have to wait for feedback, hopefully next Friday

Hope the little man's ok Geiseric, although IME he wouldn't be much of a toughie little boy if he didn't have skinned knees and a bonked bonce occasionally ;)

I'm starting to flag, a couple of days lying down and not doing much is starting to show. My ribcage is still aching and my bum still really hurts :( it's good to be up and about though, even if it is at work in the sweltering sweatbox that is our office at the moment  still, hopefully a bike ride if it's cooled off a bit later, will be nice. 8-)
