Any idea if that's actually going to be on British TV at any point?

This was good - well presented and a good background picture painted not only of Tintin’s first outing, but also Hergé’s influences.

Just noticed

11:05pm This evening on Channel 4 - "Steve Jobs : iChanged the world"

If nothing else, I think it's fair to suggest he's spinning in his grave just at the title they've given it, let alone any possible content.

What's the new best thing on television? Great question and beautifully answered. Since the heavyweights all bowed out during the the noughties, we've contenders but I'm not sure there's a bonafide champion. But then I haven't seen the show they name....

Thoughts?

My first thought? He watches a lot more TV than me!

I approve of Game of Thrones though. It's the only show I've watched every episode of for several years. I had a friend kept going on about it who forced me to watch it back-to-back while consuming beer.

Haven't saw Breaking Bad either. I've been really surprised by how good Nikita is, but it's no Sopranos or The Shield either ;)

It's true isn't it? There's nothing fundamentally huge out there right now. Plenty of really good shows, but not necessarily anything "great" in the real sense of the word. May have to take a look at Breaking Bad.

On second thoughts, I should really keep cutting down. I've only pick up one new fall premiere so far, and I'm very proud of that!

DEXTER Gets Seasons Seven And Eight!!

Showtime’s salary negotiations with Michael C. Hall have been concluded and “Dexter” has been greenlit for two more seasons of tortured inner monologues.

Showtime entertainment president David Nevins told Deadline Hollywood the eighth will "likely" be the last for the double-entendre-happy serial killer.

Reps for Hall and the channel were likely keeping an eye on ratings for the current, sixth season.

The Killing Season 2 starts on BBC4 tonight, first two episodes start at 9pm clicky.

The Danish one that is, not the stupid American one.

Why do they do that? I mean the English Wallander as well? WTF? An ageing Swede is not the same as an ageing Englishman. /rant ends

Great Barrier Reef starts on BBC2 at 20:00 today.

I doubt I'll get a mention but I helped with the filming they did on the SS Yongala, which looks like it will be appearing in episode 2.
