If you plan to make soups get yourself a metal one. Kenwood AT339, the Glass ones cannot take the heat.

I've just spent quite a lot of money on Norwegian wool jumpers for myself, my wife and our two boys.
They're hand wash only so I hope I don't forget that and ruin them.

It says it's Thermoresit glass and is suitable for use with hot or cold. I assume it's made from borosilicate (Pyrex) glass and it's very thick to boot.
If I'm liquidising soup I use the hand blender I've got - why mess up more pots than you need to?

Yes I my glass blenders are thick, but eventually it cracked with a soup I was making. It is great for making Baileys in as you can see how well mixed it is. By having both I do not have to take that risk.

Picking up a Wacom Inuos Pen & Touch Medium tonight to replace my faulty Bamboo Fun Medium. I'd rather not have to spend the money but will be happy using a fully functioning tablet again!

I just bought myself the Razer Blackwidow keyboard, with Cherry MX Blue switches. It has a really nice feel and is much nicer to type on than my old Logitech keyboard. It is nice to get back to a decent keyboard, with mechanical keys, as opposed to the dreadful foil keyboards (such as the "chicklet" keyboards that Apple and Sony made popular.

The only thing missing is the backlight from the Ultimate version, but I think I can live without that.

Finally succumbed and bought a (secondhand) ipad 3. Amazed at how clear the screen is although I guess the protector on the iPhone has a polycarbonate screen protector which doesn't help with clarity.

Just need to buy a screen protector and decent case for the iPad and once again I'm drawn to the griffin and otter box cases, except I'll remove the polycarbonate screen bit.

I've been using this for my iPad 4 (which I think is externally the same as the 3) for the past year and it's been excellent.

The little silver logo though, as pointed out by to me by JJW009, does have a rather unfortunate fascist look to it (I hadn't previously noticed, but once pointed out, is something that can't be unseen...) :?

Don't do it. It's impossible to put on without sticking all the dust in your entire house to it

Did I ever follow up on this?

The new Wacom went back to the shop. It was behaving in exactly the same (naughty) way as the old one. Took me another 5 minutes to figure out the issues have occurred since an upgrade to Mavericks. Waiting for an update from Wacom but will struggle along with the old tablet for now.

+1. I tried one on one of my iPhones and I think it lasted a couple of days.
