Was this sarcasm, Caz? I read that as meaning you're both poor as church mice, which is the same as saying you're as wealthy as each other.

Or am I just trying to be clever again? ;)

I hadn't seen anything about buying properties, but I knew about the builders, which is why I asked... Assuming that she was spending all of her pennies on builders lol

A trip to the shopping centre tomorrow, the bank, the cinema, finishing the monthly Kindle book, and sorting my bloody room out should anyone from the housing executive actually show up.

The empty vodka bottles he has already donated to the local youth firebombing appreciation society.

What is it that makes Samsung TVs and monitors so bloody fragile? I've repaired around 30 monitors/TVs and about 25 have been Samsungs.

I suspect it's the crappy capacitors they use. I always replace them with Rubycon caps and none have failed again. Well, two did, but one was due to an blown inverter and the other's ccfl blacklight died (replacement set cost me £12, and it's still going strong three years later).

I'm not moaning - because it usually means I can pick up dead ones locally or online for peanuts and fix them for next to nothing.

Yeah, we've had a bunch of Samsungs die, but it is usually the capacitors, so they are easy to repair. The Wortmanns that we used to use generally burnt out one of the logic boards, which means the monitors are a write-off.
