I thought there was a law stating that credit for a service couldn't be cancelled, I was wrong, turns out I have to use my Skype in the next 30 days or they just reset my credit to 0, currently at £7. Erm, if they set the minimum top-up to £10 then surely there should be a law stopping them cancelling it arbitrarily, it feels unfair. That said, I'll just call our home phone for 0.5 seconds every 4 months.

I also learned that Equanimity is a word.

It may be unfair, but it's normal.

I have about £3 on my Skype and I have to remember to use it every so often to keep it alive. They do send you a reminder if it approaches the time limit.

I had £3.03 on my Vodafone PAYG, but I didn't use it for so long that the credit was locked. They sent a text saying "If you do not use your phone for 270 days it will be disconnected. To avoid this, you need to top up". I put £5 on there, and now I have £8.03 credit. It's annoying, because that will probably last me the rest of my life. I just need to remember to send a text every 6 months...

I feel particularly sorry for those people that bought PAYG dongles with 1GB on when the carrier then goes and makes that expire after one month. Changing the policy after you've paid up front absolutely sucks.

I hate my boyfriend too, he's being really nasty. Makes PMT look like a holiday!

Tell him that with the recession that you are having to let him go, as you are downsizing the boyfriend department to 1, and unfortunately he did not make the cut. ;)

:D

There's a company out there making "Nom" yoghurts, a name they've presumably trademarked. :|

Rats can't vomit, and I now know where the nostrils on a Macaroni penguin are located.

30 days is the norm for PAYG phone and internet in Oz. At the end of the month I have to call friends in the UK on mobiles, and download as much as possible to prevent the parasites from getting a free lunch.

Having a bath in Japan entails having a wash with soap before getting in the tub so that you are clean before having a soak. Baths have retractable covers so that no soap gets in the bathtub while you are washing.

Who says you can't learn anything from comics?
