New TV

Samsung F6670 series model, got a 40" to replace the 32 we have and with the bezel being just mm thick it takes up only a tiny bit more space and it's the shiz :D

I got this feeling on the summer day when you were gone.
I crashed my car into the bridge. I watched, I let it burn.
I threw your sh*t into a bag and pushed it down the stairs.
I crashed my car into the bridge.

I don't care, I love it.
I don't care, I love it, I love it.
I don't care, I love it. I don't care.

Does this mean you've got the Samsung Galaxy S4? Mrs V. got one, and she loves it!

Currently my best thing is the pasta maker for Kenwood chef. A couple of weeks ago I tried spaghetti with plain flour and that turned out okay. Then this week I made rigatoni with 00 flour which turned out well. Now I need to master microwaving it.

Got my new VDU glasses this morning. They are for reading and working at a computer. Wow, what a difference. My old glasses aren't even 2 years old, but I noticed that I was having more and more problems with the monitor at work, so I got a new prescription and then glasses for computer work.

My 'normal' pair are varifocals and okay for reading books and great for long distance, but a computer monitor is just the wrong distance to be read comfortably.

The new glasses make a huge difference, even reading up close is a lot sharper. My prescription has changed over the last 2 years, but the doctor said not enough to warrant getting new glasses. Being so darned expensive, I hope the new reading glasses will last a while!

The varifocals with frame and hardened lenses and anti-glare coating cost nearly 600€, the reading glasses don't have the hardened plastic and don't have the anti-glare coating, which puts them at just under 400€ (varifocal, near range)!

When you select a frame, the prices don't look that bad, but once the prescription lens is added into the equation, the prices start getting astronomical.

Mrs V bought some reading glasses recently, which cost her £175. I bought a pair a few months ago. They cost 85p.

Just saying

When the frames broke on my glasses, I bought a 10€ pair of reading glasses, but I could hardly read anything. My eyes have very different prescriptions, so an off the shelf pair of reading glasses are useless. Having to have a different prescription for reading a book and reading a monitor also doesn't make the whole thing any cheaper.

I wasn't criticising, Dave. I just find it amusing that the wife paid nearly two hundred quid for her glasses and I got mine for under a pound :D

I've got some 'The Crow' novels that could go either way... I might finally see some Ts I ordered months ago, and some more to go with them

Shopto had a thermos flask for £2.68 delivered though it didn't actually say what it held  , but the pic made it look decent so I gave that a go. My mate's a taxi driver so that might prove useful, or I can use it as a spare to mine.

Bought some very cheap packaging tape that'll do the job nicely when it comes to returning items :)

The Aliens Omnibus is pure win and I've taken out a new sub to the Dark Knight comic.

Tried it, whatever the deal is the GIFs appear 'clear' whether you try to save or host them.
