Aside from anything else, he would be a merman, not a mermaid. And let's the honest here, it really is just another excuse to make a film where Channing Tatum has no shirt on for most of it.

Disastrous reviews for Suicide Squad so far.
Does anyone here plan on seeing it?

Yeah, and as I'd said before, we'll likely never know if the studio went too far when it came to 'humour injection'. But then WB have shown little wit full stop.

I'll scroll straight to the bottom of the reviews before deciding to go. A few too many crap ones and I won't bother my arse going.

Just read a review snippet that says Suicide Squad is actually a worse film than the Fantastic Four reboot. Yikes. That film was hated.

I think I should really catch that film, because by all accounts it's really rather good.

I think I lasted less than half an hour with it. Didn't care if any of the characters lived!

What's worrying is that they reshot some scenes before releasing, so I don't know whether the changes made it "better" or worse.

From what I read, even that sensible idea won't work. Certainly didn't for BvS.

I really hope it flops now so that WB/DC finally get the fcuking message. Hire directors who can see past their ego to just make a tolerable film. I mean, just for a start.

Carry on to 'The sky won't fall if we just make something fun'.

Incredibly, they are apparently still pulling the same sh1t with rumours surrounding Aquaman and Flash. They aren't even out for years! And lets be honest, they could be dead long before then.

I've seen the Ultimate Edition of BvS (I never saw the theatrical version) and the film was bloody enjoyable.
I don't know what supposed problems the cinema release had, but the Ultimate Edition was really good.

That's the version I watched and I still have no idea what Lex Luthor was trying to do. Or why he did it in such a convoluted fashion. I don't even recall them explaining wtf LexCorp was actually about as a public company, cos to my eyes it just dealt in whatever made for an action scene later.

Every other story these days seems to be directors and writers defending their films or company. It'd be funny if it wasn't such a big indicator of how bad Hollywood has gotten.
