I saw a very small sign at my local (no fcuking idea which company runs it, it ain't obvious) that mentioned a £1 'blockbuster' tax. I only spotted this notification because I'm over 6 foot tall, frankly.

I tend to go on cheap Tuesdays and Thursdays and pay by card, while usually getting at least a popcorn, so I might not have noticed if I've 'overpaid'. Cos that's what I consider it to be. They should consider themselves lucky that any fcuker's going to the cinema these days, never mind paying an arbitrary tax where someone decides what a blockbuster is.

I'll find out on Tuesday when I go to see Civil War if the charge is added for that day at least. It'll be the last time I use that cinema if it is, and in fact I'm highly unlikely to visit the other local cinema as it really is a fleapit.
