Quick pizza base...

So I tried this recipe today

Third attempt today (after yesterday's aborted plan due to power cut). We tried a stuffed crust cooked on a pizza tray (holes in base) and a plain one on a heavy baking tray. Brushed a little olive oil on the baking tray to prevent sticking. Didn't do this for the pizza tray one. Both cooked for same amount of time.

The pizza tray one - the base was a little undercooked in the centre. Thin'n'soft. The baking tray one was perfect. Crisp base.

Just need to get the seasoning and flavours right.

Take it with a pinch of salt – the food marketing myths we’ve swallowed whole | Life and style | The Guardian

Quote:
You may have heard that caffeine stunts growth; this is unsubstantiated nonsense. The short story is that it’s a tall tale spread by Postum, a caffeine-free morning beverage invented in the late 1800s. Postum marketed itself as an alternative to coffee by demonising its competitor, suggesting coffee stunted a child’s mental and physical development. One Postum ad shows a small boy struggling at school: “Held back by coffee … this boy never stood a fair chance.”

Lol at a small boy drinking coffee, never mind the point of their silliness. Presumably I'd be even taller if it wasn't for the Coke...

Went go-karting at the weekend. First time ever. Good fun, especially as there were ten of us and we were the only ones on the track. 50 laps. Came fourth

They say that large PC/Laptop manufactures have been massively losing sales over the last few years, while smaller independent supplies have been doing quite well.
I spent a few hours researching a possible new laptop yesterday and I can now see why that's the case.
The big manufacturers (mainly) produce a vast number of different modles with slightly different specifications to try and meet people's needs. But the flip side of that is the specs are fixed and you can't change components. Contrast that to smaller companies and they offer many more options. The only way to get what I wanted to spec out an ultrabook from PC Specialist. I probably won't buy it yet, but it's nice to know I can get what I want when I do.

Yeah. My wife's laptop from there. We had to RMA it after six months as the screen developed a fault. The service was excellent.

OK, so that's a ridiculous advert with the usual bunch of grease stains commenting, but it's not often I think 'What a house!'.

I'm very happy with my HP Spectre x360 so far.

Previosuly I had the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, which was also excellent, but it developed a battery fault after 18 months - and when the battery is dead, you can't use it on mains power!! Luckily they replaced it without comment in 3 days. The HP has a removable base plate, so that should be easier to manage.

We don't have many small companies providing notebooks over here, the biggest and Wortmann and Medion, but they are low to mid range only and thick and not very advanced, so we are pretty much stuck with the big names.
