If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

My parents old cat (the one that died in the early 90's) used to bring home rabbits.

Hmmm. I don't think I'll delete the rabbit/cat photo as it is natural and not gory.
What do people think about the eyeball one? a bit too gross? Should it go?

It might be 'natural' but its still a bit off when people are posting pictures of their pet rabbits.

And taking a dump is natural but Im guessing that wouldnt make an appropriate post

Do you know how many birdies are killed by pet cats?

It's more than a few. They're one of the most important factors in our loss of wildlife, after destruction of habitat.

Frankly, if they stuck to rabbits it wouldn't matter. Most pet rabbits are kept safe by their owners, so it's only the vermin that get eaten.

Thats fine, but just to clarify... this is a thread on pets. Is it not in bad taste to see dead animals?? I wouldnt have a problem with it (picture) if it was a thread about wildlife, nature, hunting, whatever.

Dude give it up.

Don't you know yet that if you love rabbits you are going to get abuse? You have to have a thick skin. I have owned and loved the remarkable creatures that are rabbits for many years. I have had to live with the comments of the insensitive and the cruel just as long.

Standard comments are

"I only like them in a pie" (seriously where can you even get rabbit pie these days?)

"My dog killed one last week" (I can now add cat to the list)

"I could make a nice pair of mittens out of him" (from people who have no skill in such matters)

The insensitivity of people has long ceased to amaze me. Curious that they don't do it with other pets. Cat owners are not forever told that cat meat makes good eating, or that "I have run over six cats this year" or that cat fur looks better on boots. Write a post about loving your cat and see how many pictures of dead cats are posted.

When it comes to rabbit owners people can be insensitive twats. Live with it.

We used to keep rabbits when I was a kid. Was it bad that we used to eat them? After they had died, of course! ;)

We also had dogs. We never ate them though :P
