I found a copy of the Animated Series in a charity shop earlier this year. I'd not seen them since transmission, and they are surprisingly good. A lot of the stories are written by Trek writers, so while the animation is typically the Filmation flip book style, the stories are well done, and the voices are the original actors' voices, so it feels very genuine. Did you know that TAS introduced holodecks? Neither did I, but one story features one on the Enterprise.

Enterprise title sequence set to Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now

It’s almost too perfect a match for it to be coincidental. Either that or the sequence has been tweaked to fit too many cuts on the beat.
