Head teacher land chair of governors for Clara's school. Hope D Darbyshire was head of music.

It's true to say not everyone is going to love Doctor Who! Some people go mad for things like Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad or heaven forbid Strictly and Britain's got Talent! I can't personally bring myself to give those programs any more of my attention than I have thus far but I really enjoy the Doctor. It's not a requirement that everyone enjoy the same things.

I can't wait to watch last night's episode, haven't yet but will be this evening.

I thought it was very good indeed. Plenty of little things for fans to pick up on of course.
Especially liked Claras school.
I take the point about being disappointed about Timelords having something as mundane as guns though, I was expecting (well, hoping might be a better word) to see some sort of combat variant of a TARDIS.

The two guys who run the local video library went off to see the 50th special in 3D at the iMax in Auckland yesterday. I had no idea it was on.

There were a new form of Dalek from what I can tell - ones capable of proper flight, which is preferable.

It does make running up stairs to escape a lot more pointless now.

Well I haven't watched it since Peter Davidson's day but stayed on BBC1 after Strictly on Saturday night. I was left feeling 'was that it?' I think for a 50th celebration they could've done a lot better. Maybe it's because I haven't wacthed it recently and I have no attachment to David or Matt. I don't know. For the best selling Sci Fi show in the world it was a bit meh.

The most exciting bit for me was seeing Tom Baker who I met 25 years ago.

And what happened to the long colourful scarves? lol

In other news Mr Tennant is on Jo Wiley, Radio 2 8pm tonight.
