(8+) When the Daleks suggested that the reason The Doctor was still alive was because they admired the rage he carries inside of him! That was a "wow" moment for me. Mark

The awe which they show for The Doctor is similar to that they show the nuttier Daleks. This inverted concept of beauty goes to the core of our ideas of Good and Evil. Genius girl was great. She was such a well imagined character in such a well imagined story, is it too much to imagine we'll be imagining her again? Loved it. And was also struck by the rage thing.
The Doctor kind of reminds of Yoda. He's old, powerful and wise. Of course a Jedi only uses his power for knowledge and defense - never for attack, but I can't help thinking that when Yoda took on Dooku at around 800 years old, there was a little rage going on.
9 times out of 10, the Doctor is measured, smart and often whimsical. But that 1 time (at band camp) he's seen and experienced enough to get very, very angry.
Be interesting to see if they play with that later in the season....
I'm in love with genius girl. She's hot and smart and all kinds of awesome.

The line in "Dalek" when the captured Dalek said to the Doctor "you would make a good Dalek" kind of sowed the seed of that. You have to wonder what really happened in the Time War and what the Doctor really did. Nice to see Skaro again. Looked a little worse for wear though.

So, the Daleks have destroyed their Asylum. So they have nowhere to dump the insane ones (and for a Dalek, that's really insane) - and they won't exterminate them because of their own moral code.
So it's time for Care in the Community, Dalek style. That will go well.
