Yeah, at least it's a better idea than having Bruce in it the whole time... Honestly, all they need to do is reboot it a few years from now. It could be made relatively cheaply with a young actor, male or female, going back to the original film. Make a terrorist hostage situation say, with more realistic action scenes than what we get usually. Hell, something to consider would be just what you'd do in the typically American situation of a loony with a gun in a big building...

Well, apparently, Videodrome was going to be remade. It seems that the project fell flat, but this page has the original cinema trailer, which is nothing like the film.

It actually hasn't been that way for quite some time in the main. It really died when Tom Cruise made slightly more profit than entire productions... It's also worth remembering that this far into the MCU the sums are relatively small. It would have been interesting to see Sam Jackson's payout in that sense. That's why so many of the stars have production companies now - it's not purely about tax avoidance lol.
