Good Morning all

Collected new car (to us) at the weekend – all good although one funny thing – it doesn’t have electrically heated wing mirrors – our last (older) car did – oh well

Plus ID’d “stray” moggy that was coming into the house to eat our cats food – turns out it belongs to new neighbours up the street so will now take as more active stance in deterring it coming around – you have been warned!

Afternoon all

Busy week - year end reports, stock takes, price increase and works party.

Carol singers snarling up the foyer is just what we need when we've been crammed onto trains and some people are running hours later than normal. Bah humbug. Just not in the mood for it today.

Morning.

Edd, it's the enforced "You WILL enjoy this festive time of the year or be labelled a Grinch" aspect of Christmas that really grinds my gears. Two weeks of enforced jollity doesn't make life better.

Hey-ho.

Penny-puss still has the tummy problems. While she's no longer projectile vomiting and pooping all over the place, she isn't making huge strides forward. Back to the vet this morning, where I suspect she'll be kept in and given an ultrasound scan to see if there's anything obvious going on. Still, she's a member of the family, and we have to do what we can to help her. It strikes me she gets better treatment at the vet than many humans get with their healthcare regimes.

Onwards and sideways.

It's Monday. Wait, no, it's Tuesday. Whatever - I have a proper half day today; going to the cinema later :)

Well she has a "private" health plan and you obviously care for her a great deal. There's a lot of cats who are treated very much worse :(

Good luck. I hope they can keep her comfortable.

Managed to give myself food poisoning yesterday. It was relatively brief but offset by being really quite brutal. Feeling a lot better today.

Morning.

Penny-puss saw the vet, or was it the other way round? Anyway, she's had an antibiotic injection, a steroid injection, a lot of fuss, and was generally praised by the vet. The injections replace the need for pills (and the danger of missing out on dosage), and should see her through into the new year. We've not had any "incidents" overnight, but I think she's well overdue for a visit to her tray to leave a deposit. Best to leave things to their natural course, I think.

Today, more stuff to do. Need some emergency card rations, need some petrol, need to visit the post office and the bank, and get some grub in. The oven will also be mended this afternoon, so we can have the main oven back in action for the first time in at least two years.

Onwards and sideways.
