Now this could be total speculation and unfounded rubbish but it sounds just crazy enough to be trying to recapture the insanity of the the TV show.
One of the comments from the same story I read elsewhere "How does one detonate a black hole?" *laugh*

Kevin Feige Reveals First Half of Marvel Phase 3 Production Schedule — Latino-Review.com
http://www.latino-review.com/news/kevin ... n-schedule

I'm dying to see how they handle, and the reactions to, minority and female characters. The truth is these films cover just about every demographic when it comes to making money though. Civil War will be a real test for them, and I can't stand the thought of it being an ad for future films after Cap 2.

Tin foil? Stop motion? I'd no idea.

The 'magic' of film-making has changed.

Oh man, Hawk the Slayer is looking to spawn a sequel.
I loved that film when I was a kid.

IMO, it's awesome but it's very much 'of it's time' and part of it's charm is the fact it appeared to be made for about £2.50. I can't imagine a sequel would hold to those values somehow.

It feels to me a bit like the TRON remake. Now I actually loved TRON : Legacy but it's not really anything like the original film other than it's setting & backstory. If you change everything about Hawk The Slayer other than the setting & backstory, what you're left with is actually just a generic fantasy film. Is that really worth anyone's money?

EDIT : Damnit, trying to find some video of Bill Bailey saying "I punched a bloke in the face once for saying 'Hawk The Slayer' was rubbish" from 'Spaced' but Channel 4 have removed all the clips from youtube :D
