I ordered some t-shirt's last night from the US, which is good news, but express shipping was over $40 and that was to get them in a week, the $10 shipping I paid didn't really give an indication of when they'd arrive, so it could be years before I see them.

Good news. The shirts are here. Bad news. They're here, in the country, but at the post office waiting to be collected, and of course they only open during working hours when...I'm at work.

I always used the Royal Mail website to get stuff redelivered at the weekend when I had to.

A short while ago on these very boards I posted that I had been a BT Infinity customer for 2.5 years and I never had any trouble with them.
I moved house at the weekend, and all that has changed now.
They want £130 off me so I can remain a customer with them.
The faceplate on the phone socket in my new place needs upgrading to allow me to plug in the router for my broadband service, and they say that because an engineer visit will be required, I have to pay £130 for this to happen.
*sigh*

Ring them and say you want to cancel. They'll ask why and, once you've vented your spleen, they'll probably reduce or waive the charge. Brinkmanship can work, but you really have to be prepared to move ISP though.

I'm perfectly happy to change supplier.
It seems that TalkTalk is the only viable alternative.

Ouch!
I just did another check and PlusNet is also available, so two alternatives.
