I don't like the hypocrisy from people who baby dogs but then glare at the homeless on the street. or the ones who treat dogs like royalty then buy battery chicken or bacon, or Pescetarian who eat fish which is overfished and close to extinction. All animals should be treated with respect, human included.

You may not like them, but they have an important purpose. I wonder what the opinion is on animals which are not perceived as carnivorous but do actually eat meat and in fact need it for regeneration? I'm thinking specifically of ducks and chickens, they need protein in their diet in order to make eggs and re-feather after moult, most commercial food has a protein element, but given the chance they will happily eat slugs, frogs, snails etc which is a better way for them to get it, especially if they are getting it while free-ranging. Given the current food price in comparison to income, as well as our separation from the production process, I don't know too many people who can afford to regularly eat meat that they are sure has had no 'production' element. I try to support our local farmers and buy produce boxes when I can afford them, but to be honest, our animals eat better than we do and the equalizer for it is that we can't afford to buy more expensive but more animal-friendly foods. Also interestingly, people don't seem to be aware of the difference between "farmed" and "free" food. People complain about things like farmed tuna and cod, because they seem to think it's the same as farmed cow or pig, but there are worlds of difference and farming fish is the more responsible, sustainable way to produce it, given that line fishing is a rich man's game.

[LIFTED] Currys. I placed a reserve and collect then fought my way through horrific snowy conditions only to find they dont have my item. "Boxing day is busy and it's a popular product" they said. And? I [LIFTED] RESERVED IT! "Best thing to do is reserve it again for today" they said. [LIFTED]. YOU.

PC World do the same, I reserved something a few months ago and went to the store to pick it up, the guy just walked over and got it off the shelf. I asked what the point of reserving it was if it's not taken off the shelf so no one else can buy it, he just shrugged his shoulders and smirked. Braindead morons!

I know it's a Lightning Deal but I kind of expect it to take longer than the time it takes me to tap the link on my phone for Amazon to have sold 100% of the thing I wanted (complete DS9 on DVD). Boooo. Boooo I say. Edit: Hmm, it seems they had precisely 1 at the reduced price. While that certainly explains the 100% claimed thing it's still bloody annoying.

Someone has helped themselves to my credit card details buying the usual phone top-ups It's so common the fraud team called immediately on seeing the transactions and now I'm getting a new card which I'll have to kill in a few days anyway since I'm gonna be using another company. I'm thinking it was all computerised cos the transactions were all simultaneous at exactly 9am today. Pain in the bloody arse

There's nothing like getting out among people to purge oneself of any lingering Christmas spirit. Specifically to our local Tesco.
The busy car park was full of [LIFTED] morons who - finding no space available right this minute - were quite happy to sit and block other motorists who were also looking for a parking space. Even if it causes a queue of more than 10 cars behind them they will not move. All this while a family load up their car at a glacial speed and this [LIFTED] sits and waits for them.
And if you're going to be so vulgar as to eat while you're shopping at least be as discreet as possible. Don't open up a pack of chicken thighs and start [LIFTED] eating them. Slob behaviour at its best.

If you got on that way in Belfast you'd be shown what your windpipe looked like!

Tesco are really scrapping for the last pennies. for example: Fresh juice is 3 for £4.00, except now they've removed orange juice from that offer, it is now on 3 for £3.50, which means they're trying to bamboozle the people who've always bought mixed juice in their shop.

Just been looking at flights to/from Boston to go and see my cousin in May/June. Oil now trading at around $53 a barrel and yet the cost of airline tickets has not come down by 1p Me thinks the airlines are taking the preverbial.

If you have the time try going via Iceland as you can with them stop of for a couple of days there at no extra (airline ) charge. It also has the advantage that each leg of the trip is only 4 or so hours long
