I can only image. BBC News is so dumbed down these days it's subnormal.

The only thing that really annoyed me about that was how they kept referring to space as "The heavens"

So, someone I know via the car club, and for some reason (ie politics) I have to be a friend of on FaceBook has posted a truly probing question. The question is this: how many Muslims did Noah allow on the ark?
The guy is a bell-end of the first order when it comes to this kind of thing, posting Britain First stuff, anti immigration nonsense and various other stupid stuff of an inflammatory nature. Thing is, the irony gauge goes off the scale as he's am immigrant himself. He's Hungarian.
Anyway, I usually avoid responding to his rants as he seems to have the tacit support of other club members (one who responded "2 monkeys" to this question), and I am certain I am in a small minority of three. I politely pointed out that in the times of the Old Testament, there were no Muslims, mostly because Mohammed, who founded it, wasn't born until 570 AD.
It's really like reading Viz at times - but it's real, and not the carefully crafted fiction of that erstwhile publication.

Note to self. Never, ever, EVER try to go to the cinema on Valentines day.
That is all.

The new channel 5 on-demand site is piss-poor. Slow, content fails to load, I can't even find tonight's episode of The X Files on it. What a pain in the arse.

Now that it's ticked over past midnight, I have found a link for it, but going to the page gives me a 404 error page not found. What a waste of time. And the channel was hoping The X Files would push demand for the new streaming service?!? Aye, suck my balls, Ch5. Mark

Or visit a strange town and try and find a restaurant to eat at! We were in Magdeburg at the weekend and we struggled to find somewhere to eat, as we didn't know what time we would be eating or what restaurants were in the area - and the hotel kitchen only does breakfast at the weekend.

We stayed there last year. The food is excellent, but 4* prices - although you can order things that aren't on the menu, we ordered a chicken salad and what we got was fantastic, chicken guijons in a mushroom sauce with a lovely salad with balsamico dressing. The hotel is also very well situated for trams and buses. Unfortunately, the beds are much too soft. We both ended up with back aches and sore hips. The Best Western Gehiemer Rat is where we now generally stay, about 50€ a night cheaper and the food is excellent there as well, although no evening meals at the weekend, which is a shame. But there are a lot of excellent restaurants within walking distance. We managed to get into a Greek restaurant about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. They were packed, but very nicely managed to squeeze us in. The beds are a little bit harder and I sleep better there, although my wife still complained that she couldn't get comfortable.

Gah! Bloody T-Mobile!
I had to get some prices for our contracts and new phones. CEO wanted a new iPhone. Looked up the prices, for his contract it said 0,84€, brilliant!
Ordered it and got an email back that the price is actually 252€ with that contract!
So now I have stress with my boss, because I got the wrong prices!

It‘s Disney. They’ve learnt an important lesson from Frozen. Stick a character from that film on some tat, and people will buy it. Frozen is probably the most monetised film ever, and it seems to not be slowing down. I expect Star Wars will be a close second, eventually overtaking it.
