Loving these as ever, Paul, thanks very much!

Are you collecting them?

I said I’d stop buying them when Smiths stop stocking them.

I was asking ernie. I had already assumed that you are, since you are posting pictures of them. 8-)

There's a new cartoon called Beware The Batman, and I'd either totally forgotten about it or just never heard of it :o

Can't say I'm too impressed with Beware the Batman's first episode... The computer animation looks utterly terrible in places, and the voice cast are all stereotypical accents so far!

I've got another two episodes here so I'll give those a go, but the first was pretty dumb :(

Oh, there's plenty of good cartoons out there, and mostly with that aim. The problem is this one has a real mean streak without the script to make that work.

Three episodes in, the female characters are either ditzy or fetishized warrior queens, Batman's either totally sociopathic or an actual killer, and the villains so far are the ones usually reserved for a walk-by scene in Arkham or a curio comic run. It's not even clever enough to be a kids cartoon, that's the problem. It's more like the internet started messing around with some off the shelf software

As I understand it, it's taken from the same stable as the recent CGI Green Lantern cartoons, which I know did not go down too well.

If you want a kids' cartoon that's actually pretty good for adults, try the Last Airbender :D

I'd suggest the Gundam series. Any of them, and there's loads. Gundam 00 wasn't bad as I recall.

Yeah, Paul, I've seen a lot of comparisons to that (it got cancelled, as most of DC's comic output seems to). It's amazing how bad their kids shows have gotten when you consider what came before :(

I'm gonna go back to the cheesy classics soon since I've got the box sets - Thundercats, Bravestarr, God knows what else

The suggestion is that they ARE going older with the next Batman (who'll first appear alongside Superman), and that he'll be played by Josh Brolin if the BoF guy has it right

http://www.batman-on-film.com/BATMAN-RE ... -3-13.html

It won't make much difference who they cast if WB doesn't have Snyder make a good film this time round

Why are the majority of DC movies just not very good?
I think Batman Begins was the last one I enjoyed, and the Burton Batman movies. 3 films. Meh.
