I think the last 'kids' show I watched in the 90s was Spider-Man on the Beeb.

Pulp Fiction is getting a one-day-only cinema exhibition for the 20th anniversary of the film later this month.
I'll probably be working but not everyone here works nights.

They may be scraping the barrel by then if DoFP is as messy as rumoured. It's on trailer-overload and yet you continually see the same scenes, rarely a good sign, and especially recently.

Roberto Orci Has Become the Frontrunner to Direct STAR TREK 3!
http://schmoesknow.com/roberto-orci-has ... k-3/22922/

I'd love for the series to get back on track after 2, but Hollywood might wanna look outside the old boys network it continually goes to now. Take a leaf out of Marvel's book and hire talented individuals as opposed to ruining franchise hopefuls early like Fox, Sony and Warner Bros do by getting hacks in.

'Mission: Impossible 5' Gets New Writer

What bugs me is they tend to keep elements of the old script and merge it with the new one, leading to softened or tonally weird characters you couldn't give a stuff about and a disjointed film overall.

There could be quite a market in bringing that style of old-skool film back (nostalgia, it can be made relatively cheaply, 'guest villains'), but this film probably isn't it.

In a sense I'm pleased with that Amazing Spider-Man 2 bit - absolute dross can make a fortune these days, so it's good to see Sony get a shot across the bow as it were. You'd think repeating Spidey 3 on a grander scale with a potentially enormous new franchise would have rung alarm bells, but hey...

A version of Scorponok already appeared in the first film. I have the original toy somewhere

One of my mates had the big BIG one (the Decepticon counterpoint to Megaplex) which is why I got excited, but subsequent googles since posting have "explained" there were a number of variants on the scorpion theme - which would explain my immense dissatisfaction with the size of one that appeared in the first film.
