Ok, this is a film from 80s/90s involving missiles, probably nuclear and inter-continental. A black guy presses the button, we know it's an "abort" button. Hmmmm.

That narrows it down to millions of films :lol:

I don't care which film it is, that button isn't going to work. They've got it plugged in with a printer cable.

There's a scanner in between the button and the PC :) So they can do their missile self-destruct and B&W photocopying in the same place :)

Looks like an RS232 cable to me - or more specifically a 9 way D type, which is actually quite extensively used for industrial controllers.

What's unusual is that an abort button (it does say abort on it, although not that easy to read) would have a plug on at all. You'd expect any safety essential controls to be hard-wired. This suggests it's a less serious film, or one in which the industrial aspect is of a secondary nature.

My best guess would be something like "Barb wire" or "Street Fighter".

Exactly, a plug n play abort button just wouldn't fit with the military.
