Morning.

Bad sleeps, but I'll struggle through. It's only a few paces to my office, after all, and no-one will notice me snoozing at my desk. :?

Penny-puss did an absolutely epic amount of vomit on the kitchen floor. It's a surprise she's still as big as she is!. :|

Hello to CMOT! We like to see old faces return from the wilds. I hope you can stay around for a while. :)

Onwards and sideways.

Morning all,

The usual damp, fun-sucking misery continues.

To make matters worse, the high winds have ripped up the fence panels around the smoking area :!: :o

Good Morning all

Soggy start. From the Bedroom window I can see the river is up over the flood plain – no risk yet to the house

Evening all.

First day back at work after a week off. Bit of a shock to the system and no mistake. Still, at least there was cake to soften the blow.

Have a great day folks.

Morning. An hour later to bed than I planned and been woken up an hour earlier than planned. Not quite sure how I'm going to function at work today.

Morning.

A lot of hammering and sawing going on next door. Found the neighbour's been building an Ark.

We think Penny-puss needs some medical attention. She's bright and perky, but will insist on pooping and puking at all times of the day and night - and not always in her designated litter tray.

Onwards and sideways.

Morning all,

Don't feel right today. It's nothing I can pin down - I'm not feeling ill, queasy, weak, dizzy or anything like that. I just don't feel... right.

We had a similar issue with our very own hissing, spitting, flat-headed, yellow-eyed demon crapping and puking everywhere - turns out she didn't like the new cat litter. We changed back to the old stuff and she stopped!

Evening all.

Day of work pissed away in customer support training. I'm in IT. I only deal with internal staff. Wouldn't be so bad, but the agenda was entitled Customer Support Excellence.

On the plus side, free lunch.

Now to try to coax my brain into working now I'm home.

Morning all.

Just renewed my Royal Society of Chemistry membership. So, what are the chances that I get a receipt and work pays me back before Christmas? I can't say I'm overly hopeful.

Still, at least it's stopped raining.

Morning all!

A belated response, but my brain simply wasn't working after training yesterday! Hi HeatherKay, EddArmitage! It's good to be back! Hopefully now I don't have uni work (and all the other charity/Land Rover-based stuff) getting in the way, I can start frequenting the old place a bit more! ;-)

Need to get my tax stuff sorted today so I get a nice fat rebate paid in with my next paycheque. Won't make this month any easier, especially with the impending car trouble (i.e., all of it) but December 24th will be a very nice day.

Found out last night why my phone is refusing to take photos. Turns out that in throwing it out of the way while heaving batteries and engines and all that faff about in the back of the Landy on Sunday, it didn't just knock the cover off and battery out - the camera unit actually got dislodged and fell out too! So that's either now sitting in the mud by the garage, in the back of the car, or has been turned into chutney while heaving the engine out of the back! Oh well.

The good news is that a mate dug out some spare 2x4 and a fire door from when he redecorated the flat when he bought it, so with a little help from the better half and one of our old lecturers, I now have a rather sizable desk! So if all does go wrong with the car, I can actually now work from home on something more sensible than the sofa!

And now, shower -> tea -> work -> tea -> tea -> tea.

Morning all

Feeling rather awake this morning which is surprising when I went out last night & only got 4 hours sleep.

Time for coffee then some prep work before a teleconference with customers in Denver
