When "party night" involves a couple of glasses of wine in front of a movie at home, in comfy clothes. I've been doing things like putting milk in the cupboard and cereal in the fridge for many years, I just assumed it was a "me" thing.

TBH I rarely feel old, I still feel about 21 years old, I was a "mature spirit" even when I was a kid so I don't anticipate growing up any more than I have already. My dad got stuck mentally in his mid-twenties as well, so I'm in good company.

Yip, people think I'm a lot older than I am just cos I can hold a conversation about the economy or some other issue And I also intend to hang onto my current outlook, though in my case it beats winding up like my dad

I felt I was always older than my age. When I was in my teens I felt like I was 30 or something. However, I have been laughing and nodding in agreement with most of the comments in this thread. I've done pretty much all of them in the past week.

How about... You know when you're getting old when you're walking down the street and you hear some teenagers shouting "Oi grandad!" and you turn around to give them a good slap, then realise that they are, in fact, your grand children! Not happened to me yet, but I thought it might raise a smile

Take solace in the fact that you work twice as hard as they do. Oh, hang on a moment … Mark

Touche! In fact my stats are higher than most people on my team but the last couple of days my moral is low which is expected. I have done lots of work that I have to do I've just been a bit slack on the work I could be doing.

Yeah. Sounds like your place is going through what this place has just gone through. Not happy times, but as long as you come out the other side okay then that's all that matters really. Mark

Yeah true. It's all the not knowing that's killing us and now we have to wait until after the weekend. Boo!

It won't help at all Carolyn, but I had to wait over 18 months before I found out that my job was safe, (for now)
