Wow, I wonder what the good teams charge. :P

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Apparently, the new Williams car is looking a little bit tasty. That'd really upset Rubens if they produced a competitive car after they dropped him.

My excitement is growing as the new season approaches, but so does my frustration at not being able to watch them first GP live. :x

GRRR!!!

Just checked the BBC timetable for the Australia Race.

The only show is...

Saturday 13:00 Australia GP Qualifying Highlights (75 minutes)
Sunday 14:00 Australia GP Highlights (120 minutes)

FFS!

Neither of them are long enough to show just the race, nevermind the rest of it.

How am I supposed to watch it now?

I hate to say it but is there a way of paying to watch it on Sky online? I don't have Sky and I can't get it so paying to subscribe isn't an option. Just checked and Sky Go is only available to Sky Customers :(

Sky Go is only available to Sky customers who also have the Sports package, though I'm told that if you know someone with the Sports HD package you can use their Sky ID to watch it on the iPad App or via the Sky website.

Soooo, just need to find someone who's willing to let me use their Sky ID!!

There was a site I checked out last year that offered various European streams, but it's since been closed down - bleedin' Sky!! The highlights aren't going to be enough to satisfy my appetite this year, I'll give it a go but I fear my interest in F1 will wither up. On the plus side, I'll have plenty more time on a weekend to do something more productive.

Ooh, I was going to mention.

I bought the F1 Timing 2012 app for my iPhone.

It's free and will show a demo of what it does. Based on the demo I then spent the £19.99 to unlock the season pass.

It shows a 3D map of the circuit with live car positions around it. You also get lap times (tyre info, pit info, etc...) and text commentary. You can click on a driver to follow that driver around the circuit or watch a particular corner etc...

It looks very good. I'll be "watching" this week if I can't get any TV.

Also, it's unviersal so you get it on your iPad also.

The Sky Go app allows you to register two devices to use it at a time. So in theory someone with an iPhone (say) could register that and would then indeed have a 'spare' one to give away. You have to type in the account details to get it running though, so it's unlikely some internet random is going to let you do that.

I imagine there's a decent black market demand for a Sky ID then?!!

Do you know which broadcaster's feed they'll be streaming?

Just wondering. If it's in Spanish I'll have to put 5 Live on for supplementary commentary.

I think I must be a lucky one, As my wife is footy mad she insists we have the full sky sports package and thus we get the F1 channels as well :D

Accepted :) I think people who use the same username as before are automatically accepted, but I have to accept everyone else, despite the pool code. I'll see if I can correct that...
