Thanks everyone. Just got off the phone with my brother. He was with her until about 9:30 last night. Her breathing changed around 7:30 this morning (BST) and 15 minutes later she passed away. She was on morphine and anti-anxiety drugs at the end and didn't feel anything. I feel really sorry for my brother. The hospital rang and informed him of the change and he rushed over there, but missed her by 30 seconds

I'm so sorry to hear this news Dave.
I said in an earlier post that I had a similar situation just over 2 years ago. I was fortunate that I was close by but sadly mine was the same outcome as yours.
Let your emotions have their head my friend. Don't let anyone tell you that it isn't masculine to cry. The pain of grief is the price you have to pay for love.
Take things in, take time from work and go home to be with your family. My thoughts are with you.
Paul

I'm sorry I never saw this thread a few weeks ago, but I have just seen your Twitter post this evening.
As others have said, you have my sincere condolences at this difficult time. All of our thoughts are most certainly with you.
Peter.
