Oh dear, the DE bill was also passed with few changes, we are royally f*cked

Fail.
It begs the question though - if the bill has passed with that level of technical shortcomings, it's going to be pretty easy to dismantle in court, isn't it?

No no, I took three days off to give myself the entire Easter week, plus weekends - it's the first cold I've had in ages

You should be so lucky. Bodes well for us all. Hurrah for off-shore proxy/ssh servers.

Abbreviations have always amused me, and it's not surprising they cause confusion. Intellectual Property address is a classic, but others include: MAC address v MAC code - both important in broadband, and it really should be MA Code but never mind... TTL circuits v TTL metering - both important in cameras. There are many more... but you really would hope someone in power would know what the letters they used actually meant in that context before they went ahead and used them.

Since when has anybody in this government done the research (other than what their wallet suggests they do) before blundering ahead and doing something that nobody wants? All this means is I have to start practising my 1337 skillz and torrent some other how. Not that I can torrent anyway, thanks to UK Broadband being utter sh*te. (But it's alright, because I can also download my linux ISOs via HTTP. *Innocent face* ) <_< >_> ^_^

Or just hack their wifi and use it with impunity....... until they realise they should do more research before passing a bill

I can't wait until Firefox gets the 'One bad tab doesn't freeze the whole browsing session' thing - Hotmail is being a diseased load of sh1t. Again

I use the rather expensive premium "Logmein Rescue" a lot. I can repeatably crash Firefox with it. How you may ask? You click "log out" or close the tab. Bye-bye Firefox and everything you were doing! That happens on every PC I use ever since FF 3.5 came out. Every single PC I use and it's every time I use it. Every time I get an update (so that's every 4 hours or so) I'm hoping it will fix it, but noooooo....... What's so F*cking annoying is that the free version is fine!

Totally agree. I hate having to have third party cookies enabled.
