We should compile all of this advice in an illustrated coffee table book and sell it on Amazon.

I entirely agree.
And there could be t-shirts.

If the t-shirts are merino wool, I'm there.

If not the book sounds very cool!

Why is it that none of the starters I've bought have lasted more than a month or two. I've tried some from the local hardware shop and some from the likes of B&Q.

Wrong power rating? Faulty light? Might be easier to replace the whole unit since they're really not that expensive.

The two lights affected have been active for over twenty years without issue.

How should I work out which rating starter to get? I normally just get the same as plugged in.

I usually find reading the rating on the original works a treat. ;)

I was very cheeky today.

I have an american acquaintance on Facebook who is a hippy, vegan, believes in the power of crystals (I'm sure you have a very accurate picture of him in your head)

he posted this: Image

To which his like-minded friends were replying "Law" and other such brainless replies.

Anyway, I was going to type "feng shui" but that would have been to personal.

So I typed "alternative medicine". And sat back and waited for the replies.

Hours later I eagerly try to find it :( unfriended.

The thing is, they think they're being open minded, when they're the most closed-minded people on Earth.

It's just like the "old age" bollocks, just a bit more shiny.

An absolute mountain of boxes of Fruit Pastels appears to have been dropped off in reception. I wonder why.
