Bugger. I'll call the tax office tomorrow and see if they'll tell me what mine is.
Cheers man.

If you've got any pay slips it'll be on there.

It's absolutely no surprise to me that that link came from you.
If it were anyone else, I'd suspect 1337 ninja skillz on Google, but as it was you, I suspect you just raided your bookmarks. (8+)

Whatever makes you feel better about your inter-country relations with Edd... and how do you suggest I'm not a Google master? ;)

The tax reference is a unique code which identifies you to the revenue. The tax code refers to how much you earn before tax and is usually something like 862L

hope this is clear :)

Actually that's wrong.

Your National Insurance number is how the Revenue identifies you.

Your tax reference is how the Revenue identifies your employer (it's your employer's PAYE reference).

The generic tax code for 2012-13 is 810L. This might be different if you have extra allowances, benefits from your employer or more than one job.

Does anyone know if it's term time yet? Need to know when to start leaving home earlier to avoid/account for the traffic

Not all school terms start at the same time nationally. However some of them definitely will start today.

I know the Wench should have an inset day today, but I don't believe the school opens properly until Friday of this week.
