At least France has a car industry.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Mind you, if anyone’s expecting Lemmy to celebrate the band’s 35th birthday then they might like to note this recent quote from him to Classic Rock about this landmark:

“So what? Those sort of anniversaries mean more to others than to me. I don’t know what all the fuss is about.”

Motörhead also play this summer’s Download festival.

As much as I can see the advantages of a hybrid in a city, the Prius is hateful. Enjoy. ;-)

Fin: Likewise, I'll be sticking to my 13 year old Astra. Needs new dampers and a gasket on the carb replacing as well as a general service over Easter, but in every other respect it's fine. It also has the awesome advantage of not being French. ;-)

Electric / Hybrid cars in cities scare the hell out of me as you can't hear them coming. They really really need to have a sound its down right dangerous otherwise.

I've been driving French cars, (2 C3s) since 2005 and Mrs. V is now on her third Picasso in almost 8 years, (trade ins to higher spec's, not due to problems) and aside from replacing a couple of fuses we've not had any problems with them.

True story!

So 2 Citroens in 5 years.......

Must be reliable ;)

I'll stick to my 13 year old Honda, unlike the french cars you don't have to take the wheel off to replace a bulb :)

I'd had my first for a year when I went to visit the dealer, (getting some info' on a car for someone else) and he mentioned that I could trade in my car for a higher spec model, keeping the payments exactly the same as I was currently paying. If he hadn't mentioned that I'd still have the first car.

Looked at the C3, but too small :D More likely to go for a C4, although I think the Verso is looking like a winner at the moment, although I haven't tried the new Scenic.

I'd like a hybrid/electric, but I think the more comfortable sitting position of the Verso/Scenic are going to win out. I don't want/need a 4x4, but the more upright sitting position - more the ease of entering/leaving the vehicle are what are attracting me at the moment, but I don't want a Berlingo! Might have a look at the new Picasso though.

Seems to have done the job! Long live Edd's Shures! At what point do they no longer become earphones, and are simply referred to as electrical tape?

From a Virgin Media survey:

Quote:
Finally we would like to ask you about a new service Virgin Media are offering to their mobile broadband customers. We are not trying to sell the service to you, we are just very interested in your opinion.

Travel Pass
Going somewhere nice? Grab a Travel Pass for your laptop and get online anywhere in the EU. Plus you don’t have to worry about running up a big bill. With Mobile Broadband from Virgin Media, you’re in control.

Just pick up the Travel pass you need, while you’re in the EU, and away you go!

I need a pass for… How much is it? How much MB does that include?
24 hours £10 10MB
3 days £15 15MB
7 days £30 30MB
30 days £60 60MB

You'd need to be absolutely desperate, wouldn't you?

That would be 20 pounds for 1GB in Oz with a use it or lose it in 30 days approach.

Edit - Unused credit should carry over if you recharge in time, but never did for me. Complaining never got a result either and it was the only option that fitted my lifestyle.

A mouse has arrived from the internet. Packaging size around 6*15*20cm.

Pointless extra box packaging 25*40*60cm with the mouse in its own box taped to the bottom

How did they think that was a good Idea? The original packaging was good enough for just wrapping the damn thing in brown paper FFS...

I like the quotes, and the game itself may not be bad :)
