High street prices?

£299.. didnt really see it much cheaper online (though of course sods law dictates that it will be immediately reduced by at least £50  )

Only a few pounds cheaper from the UK by the looks of it, and it's always nice being able to play with something as soon as it has been paid for.

I'm looking for a cheap 50mm f1.8 AFD but everybody on eBay wants to pay more than it costs new. I think I'll keep my money and buy a few lenses next time I go through Singapore. A body is a bit risky as that only has a local warranty, but lenses are international.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Just took out a year's broadband contract with O2 ('up to' 16Mb, no caps, though there's the usual traffic-shaping) for £10 a month, so we'll see how that goes. It's a deal for O2 mobile customers, which I'm not, but my sis is! One of us may even see cashback of some description; the Quidco site was less than clear on that...

Virgin Media can stick their £19 a month* fibre optic cable up Branson's arse for all I care

* If you're mad/unfortunate enough to pay them that

Is it just me or are UK podcasts generally low volume compared to US ones? :?

I wouldn't really mind, but you'd think geek/tech types could sort that type of thing out

Why the fcuk did I come into work today when every instinct told me not to?

An APR (the biggest load of drivel that's never read) and having to take leave rather than help the boss lick his superior's arse :x

I have a number from around the world and the volume is all over the place. Some BBC ones the opening music is very loud on others it is quieter. No consistency even with the BBC.

I hope you've informed the authorities about the skeleton.
