I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, but here's Robert Downey Jr being interviewed:

Yeah, the studio 'weren't happy' with him getting that.
Greedy studios.
That man never has to work another day in his life, and he'd still be comfortably well off.
No surprise he might not make another Iron Man. He doesn't bloody have to.
