One internet to whoever recognises her. I think she's incredibly pretty with a lovely slim natural figure, and her exhibitionism comes across as naughty but fun. Unsurprisingly she had a huge fan base.

Yep, quite easily. She usually did classic striptease so the first picture in a series was pretty safe

'Classic striptease', huh?

By what logic do adult actresses decide to look the way they do, rather than looking like Angeline Jolie or Kate Winslet? Those two are always much higher up the 'most attractive women in the world' lists than anyone working in the specialist movie industry. Or is it that most men really want to vote for, I dunno, Jenna Jameson but are just too embarrassed to do so?

Carmen Electra is higher up than Angeline Jolie in the first list I found on Google: http://www.askmen.com/women/top50/33.html

Also note that Pamela Anderson is number two, and she looks a lot like a cheap old silicon porn star.

However, number one is a fashion model.

I guess different people like different things. That's not necessarily a bad thing, whatever some bigots might say.

There is nothing wrong with fapping and watching porn. But there is with saying that drugged up, tired women with too much plastic surgery can be found attractive.

It's a funny old world.
This woman is (was?) a porn star. Yet this woman is not (as far as I know anyway).

Carmen Electra has not, as far as I'm aware, done any adult films. I'm not entirely sure what she has done to deserve that level of adulation but the fact remains she's not an adult movie actress. I suppose we get into the discussion as to whether the likes of FHM are porn or not...

IMO, She was much more towards the stereotypical playboy model rather than a 'movie' star and again we're into the notion of what is or is not porn. Which you guys may get into should we ever get a NSFW section. Me, I don't really care. I mean, I know these women exist, but they don't really do anything for me.

Well obviously everyone (both male and female) has their individual tastes. within the bounds of society anyway. And I can only assume the 'porn star' archetype works for enough men for it to be as profitable an industry as it is. They get none of my money though *shrug*.

(aside : It appears Steve Jobs' rather puritanical influence lives on. Mac OS's autocorrect changes 'porn' into 'iron' )

What I mean is she usually starts with clothes on. Usually something with a theme, which she then peels off. Her choice of music and themes may not fit the classical stripper image, but the effect is the same.

The "just barely covered" pictures in general are more erotic than the gynaecological close-ups, but it's the over all journey that makes a good striptease. She wouldn't have been so successful if she didn't have the whole image.

I've just noticed she doesn't have a Wikipedia page, unlike many others:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_po ... _by_decade

Note how each decade has more than the last. That probably goes some way to explaining why there are so few really famous ones making people's "top 50 lists" right now.

I like to think that the porn market works in similar ways to top model industry. If people did not want size 0, ill models, they would not exist. Same for ill-looking, cheap and tired porn actors. Does it mean it's right?

On the grand scale of things, it hurts far fewer people than for example the market for cheap imported fashion goods.

How many millions of adults and children have worked in sweatshops 20 hours a day until they're sick and die? At least most models and actors chose to enter the industry. The fact that I think a lot of them are ill advised, stupid and should have quit already is frankly a personal opinion that shouldn't concern them. It's their life.

And back on topic. I just happened upon her today on a musical Youtube journey; she's rather intriguing. By which I mean bonkers:

Keep in mind for a moment that the vast majority of porn is made in America (1st Amendment rights means there's far less restriction over there). Given that they're primary market is likely to be there own, and most americans have no taste at all, it's hardly suprising that a significant percentage of what's produced features plastic, artificially big-boobed women with all the personality of a sack of rusty spanners.

Does a lot of quite decent video games journalism she does. Not dressed like that I'd imagine. Although it'd probably help when asking for interviews.
