They are coming back tomorrow to finish it.

The induction hob is nice, the oven is at a decent level, with space for a microwave above it.

Is that a professor layton doll on the bookshelf?

No, I don't think so. That was the house when we went to view it before buying... But I think it is a chimney sweep, a traditional German wooden figure.

got banned from a pub last night  was out with a few friends and they were drinking but I was only drinking tap water as usual. Did an unusual pub crawl where I would drive my friends to each pub rather than walking etc, got to nearly the last one and as I went in the bar the owner came up to me and starts shoving me really hard and im like "wtf?" and he appeared drunk and kept shoving me to get out and I asked what I had done and he says "you've pissed me off too many times, now OUT." and I said "I didn't do anything to piss you off etc" and he got all his regular customers to surround me and these guys were really big, managed to get in the smoking area and smashed a load of his tennants glasses on purpose (noone saw), went back in pub and left. Friend tried to ask what I had done and he says "your friends been in here before, hes been taking pics of underage girls, no arguement" and as soon as he reported back when I was waiting outside, I honestly coudn't belive it, the only girls ive taken pics of in pubs were my own friends  and I woudnt go out my way to take pics of random girls regardless of age  but friend tried to say "if he was taking pics of underage girls in a pub then why are you letting them in your pub?" so his accusation was stumped? I flagged down a cop car and reported it because apparently he can get in trouble if he is drunk behind the bar and the owner of the pub, so cops have logged it and gonna give him a surprise visit soon. Some people are just so messed up in the head

Andy Tanenbaum has just posted a screen shot from PCPro in his speech about MINIX 3. It was the article about how Linux says that Linux is bloated.

This World: Mexico's Drug War

Katya Adler reports on the violent feuding among Mexico's drug cartels, which have wreaked havoc across the country. She asks whether government attempts to keep the gangs in check have only served to increase the death toll, and explores the continued failure to arrest drug runner Joaquin `Chapo' Guzman, who made Forbes magazine's annual list of the world's richest people in 2009

BBC2 N Ireland 11:00pm-12:00am (1 hour ) Sun 7 Feb

Probably UK-wide that, very interesting if that's your bag I'd have thought :)

Oh, and  at the Forbes bit...

Double Decker chocolate bars are much more substantial than what I remember them being.

Haven't had one of those in ages, but I usually find chocolate bars are getting smaller and dearer
