No but you can control how you react to it. This is something we humans like to think separates us from other animals and makes us superior. Those that react purely on our subconscious instincts are labelled as mentally ill, often criminally insane.

I had a dream about women. There was one trying to drive a car in the snow, but it was all going horribly wrong because they just couldn't limit the torque.

talk, torque, it's a pun...

I dreamt last night that I was actually writing The Lord of the Rings.

I must have been Tolkien in my sleep.

WTF I'm going to do with TWO work experience youths for the rest of the week.
One of them has no interest in art or media, which means WTF is he doing here?
He says he wants to be a Marines PT instructor, so I got on the phone to our Uniformed Public Service people and got him onto their new military taster course for the next three days.
As it's a taster course, it's going to be awesome. They're not going to spend ages doing paper work, they're going to do lots of fun things to make you think the army is just ace.
But, oh, no, he doesn't want to do it. He doesn't want to meet people who are in the Marine reserves and can offer practical guidance.
Nah, clearly he wants to be spending another morning cleaning computer screens and keyboards with his mate...

Fekkin' retard. I'm mega impressed you actually bothered to do something for him. Does he not understand it'd be a good idea to try it out and see whether he really does want to be an instructor?

Sounds like he needs a dose of reality. Maybe that cleaning would be good training for when he becomes a cleaner?

Is that the one who got agitated about your not responding to texts?

Breaking up with someone sucks.
