I'm comfortable about nobody taking me seriously. That way, when I come out with complete and utter b*ll*cks, nobody cares EDIT: The avatar does make me twitch after watching it too long...

One thing I do miss at home is not being able to hit <Esc> to stop the animation.

The Big Bang theory is really rather amusing...
"do you know what vegan chicken and rice is?..... RICE!"
"that reminds me of my parents rowing.... I said if you carried on drinking I would leave you"
"well that makes you a liar coz I'm drunk as hell and you're still here"
"shut up you're making Sheldon cry"
"Sheldon's crying coz you called him Sheldon!"

Gah! The drainage pipe from the washing machine was put down the drain hole in the middle of the bathroom - I don't have the right adapter yet - and it twisted and has spewed water all over the bathroom! And it looks like Tina took the mop with her!

Oh Btw, a shop is on fire on Moorland road, no less than 3 fire trucks and 5 police cars.

I completely didn't understand until I read your post, which saved me several hours of needless confusion. Thank you! I rather like the idea of an Oxford / Cambridge rowing competition. In fact, I'm not sure I didn't see one on Monty Python without twigging the joke. btw; it's not a homo phone* - row does not sound like row. I'm not sure there is a word for the stupidity that is "doesn't sound the same but spelled the same anyway just to confuse people". I did read it "homophobic headphones" to start with, but that's just my stupid eyes.

To be even more precise, they're heteronyms (8-D)

*Googles* In this case they're both accurate, but heteronym is more specific. This bloke has a different set of definitions though, and introduces the words polyseme and Heterophone :? They've been one of my pet hates of English for a very long time, so it's nice to know what to call the darned things. I consider my self edumacated now, thank you both
