After the morning at work I've just had, I wish I still had the food poisoning that kept me in bed for the last 2 days.

Guilty poor people who get blamed for something are labelled criminals, guilty rich people, with rich friends, who get blamed for something are labelled scapegoats.

I'm reminded of a joke I heard... A banker, a Daily Mail reader and an unemployed person are sat at a table having tea and biscuits. The banker reaches over and takes all but one biscuit. Then he leans in to the Daily Mail reader and says 'watch out, that scrounging bastard is trying to steal your biscuit'. Jon

Work. I got called into a meeting with one of the bosses. I thought I was in trouble or had done something wrong.
I've just been offered a job to start once I've completed my training. I misunderstood and thought they wanted somebody temporary to fill in the gaps. They want someone permanent and long term.
I'm flabbergasted.

TBH I love the workplace, I love the other people who work there. Everything is fantastic, except for two things:
- location - it's out in the sticks, which I find disconcerting. I'm a city boy and find most quiet places unsettling. I could potentially adjust to it. Certainly, I'd move closer to make things easier since it's a forty minute commute at the moment. - clientele - some of the patients here drive me nuts. There is a higher than normal proportion of anxiety and not as much real medicine as other areas. The affluent nature of the area means very few people are ill/unwell. My current boss is leaving and this is one of the driving factors! He worked at his potential workplace for a fortnight and patients there were overly apologetic for coming in and would try to manage things without bothering the doctor, whereas here, people seem to have difficulty managing simple colds!
I really wanted to get some experience in some inner-city type locations to get a better handle on things and help point me in the right direction. I thought about working in the kind of area I grew up to give something back to that community.
I'm tempted to sign up for only a year and get a feel of things. If I still feel like I want to move on, then I can. Also, I think (though not checked) that the pay is around double what I'm getting now and means I could build a deposit more quickly for a house. It would certainly make my social situation easier.

Relationships. I was quite happy being by myself, and wouldn't have minded someone to occasionally share things with. Sex, for example. Now I have one, and frankly I'm not happy about it. She's doing my head in. I think we need to have a chat this weekend.

Yeah I know, but for a variety of reasons, I think I've had enough.

Is it something (or some things) that you can bring to her attention and work on together Alex?
