Anyone see the issue here?

Yeah, get your tin helmet on mate, he's looking to shift the blame.

I've just had a leaflet through with my tax reminder to say that if you have a taxed, but uninsured car, you automatically get a fine. My wife's mx5, which I'm going to sell, is still taxed but I'm not using it. I can't declare it sorn, or nobody will be able to test drive it, so now I have to fork out for insurance on a car I'm not using! It's a bloody tax.

Some places will do a short term insurance of a few weeks, days or what have you.

Oh yeah, why I came in here...
Sister's just gone off on one about how the gay community uses it's sexuality as an excuse for whenever they're caught doing something wrong, or how dare George Michael say that dance music means more to the gay community.
I did point out that as neither of us are a part of that community, how could we legitimately know and the inherent dangers of painting with such broad strokes when you talk about people and communities.
Winds me up.
You can't just say 'X group people are all [LIFTED]'.
Even if they are bankers.

Aye, my own does it, for a tenner for a day, but for an extended period, it's going to cost me!

Mine did it for free, while I was moving. My possesions would be at either address so no increase in cover required. I was covered on two places for 10 days for free.

Isn't the potential buyer insured third party under their own existing car insurance if you give them permission to drive the vehicle?

Or have I made a mahoosive misunderstanderising?

You don't want to find out when it's too late that they're not insured at all though...

True, but simply asking for documentary evidence before granting a test drive would solve that.

Only if the car has its own insurance policy. It's weird, but if the car isn't insured at all, third party drive any car cover doesn't work.

Watched a pro photographer in work today. He's doing the video bit of his assignment.
I'm now more sceptical than ever that most photographers are going to magically take to doing video, and in fact I'll go further - the idea that you can just tack on a bit of video to a photographic shoot for little or no money will evaporate over the next year.

Also, that photog's a complete prat. I heard him discussing an iPad we had on set in terms that would make Steve Jobs blush and say 'Steady on, it's not all that you know.'

Uncharted 2. I bought it because it had rave reviews. It was really easy until there was a bit I couldn't get past in about the second level, then after not touching it for a year, come back to it and nearly finished it, but there's a couple of [LIFTED] monsters I can't kill. I [LIFTED] hate computer games when they're like this. Dying and restarting the level every five to ten seconds for half an hour straight without getting anywhere. What a complete waste of time and money.
