I like the way everyone you saw on that video was also videoing the same girls, but not one person said anything to them.

It was almost surreal in how one was being dragged around but hardly any noise being made.

I think people might record anything different just in case it becomes simply incredible and a Youtube classic. You might record the next Rodney King or Fenton running free.

What I find disgusting is half a dozen people filmed it, but none of them intervened and tried to help the girl being dragged along, they just waited for security to turn up. :(

Society is really degenerating.

Edit: I see JJW beat me to it.

The guy who does the More Than ads does a pretty stonking impression of Mr Freeman as well.

I think that she is very practical. Building her own car will mean that when she finishes it she will probably have the best car in school. It will also have cost her a lot less than buying one. Then by the process of rebuilding it she will have taught herself enough skills to improve her job prospects and save money owning a car. No need for expensive car repairs when she can do it herself. I must admit her parents are brave enough to realise that this is a good move for her.

It's still a Fiero. They were terrible cars. ;)

Thankfully, it looks like Dad's got a good garage set up there. If you were to shell out on the equipment and materials she's using, you could afford something very nice.

What is awesome is that she's self motivated to do something that so many people, years older than her, just don't finish or even think about beginning.
Have a look in the small ads for 'lost interest in project' or 'just needs finishing' in the car section. There's loads of them. A good rebuild can take years, and she's looking like she's going to do it in just 2.
And there's the whole aspect of inspiring girls, and boys, to get back into engineering.

Not being a car buff I have no idea. Though she might be making improvements to the car as she goes. So it could be better than a standard version.

I think that from the comment her dad and uncle were good at cars, so she would have had a lot of help to get started, and as you said she had her dads garage and tools which makes a huge difference.

I do think that girls and boys can be pushed into stereotypical careers. It is good that she is trying something different and is not worried about what people think.
