Staples have the Linx windows tablets in store (sold out online).
These aren't RT tablets, they run a full fat version of windows 8.1 (albeit 32 bit)
You can pick up the Linx 10 for £80 plus £50 cashback on the trade-in of an old but fully functional tablet. The Linx 7 and Linx 8 have £30 cashback offers.
They all run on a quad core Intel Atom Bay Trail SOC with a 1280 x 800 IPS display (despite having three screen sizes on offer), they also have a MicroSD slot, USB OTG and Mini HDMI, and feel surprisingly well made.
I already picked up a 7" for the missus on ebay and grabbed a 10" at Staples on the way home tonight. The 10" model has 2GB of RAM and higher memory bandwidth than the 1GB 7 and 8 inches models. However, the 7 and 8 are only 12-15% slower than the 10" and all are very snappy and responsive. All of them scored much better than my Nexus 7 on Sunspider and 3D Mark's Ice Storm benchmarks.
These things are stupid cheap for the quality and performance on offer.

£280 PS4s - there's bundles out there, but truth be told a lot of the games are crap. Offer ends Saturday. http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/store ... id=5891770

Paperwhite, £99 http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00J ... d_i=468294Though I'd personally recommend spending the extra for a Voyage - it's overpriced, but not having to clean the screen corners alone...

What does the Voyage do that's so amazing that my iPad won't? I have the Fire and not at all impressed with it. It was a gift from work.

The Voyage is an e-Reader, not a fully featured tablet like an iPad.

And why is it better than the paper white?
