Morning all from my new mac

A few teething problems to sort out but so far so good. It's funny to be sat back on the mac side of the desk rather than the PC side. Love the mac keyboard, so much better than Dell's.

Busy morning so far. Had the fire alarms & emergency lighting tested & sorted before 9am then a debrief meeting with the sales guys who's out the door today.

Now to do the work I'd planned to do.

Didn't get the job I was interviewed for last week. That made me rather unhappy yesterday. So, I picked myself up, dusted myself down and started all over again.

We've been out and got Best Beloved tested for some blood, had a nice cooked brekkies in the local caff, bought some paint and bathroom sealant, booked a nurse visit for Best Beloved and got rained on the whole bloomin' time. Bright skies all around, but rain right overhead all the time. Just call me Little Rain Cloud from now on. I must be a Rain God (H2G2/Douglas Adams reference there).

So far today I have booked flights to Tokyo, Paris and Hong Kong, organised fancy dress for an entire department, collected and delivered the post, squee'd over my new car stereo and had a nice cup of coffee from the coffee-van-man. This afternoon looks like slowing down not a jot, although my boss's (nearly) 3 year old daughter will be coming in later and with any luck there will be colouring!!

It's cold, early & I'm hungover

Earlier this week I stumbled over a creative block. I gave myself time away from the web design project so I didn't get more and more bogged down. I guess I'm working on it over the weekend now.

Onwards and sideways!

So glad it's Friday, I've only got to get through today until 14:30 then the rest of the day is my own I may try and get the back lawn mowed since it hasn't rained for a couple of days now, the paddock is still quite squishy but the lawn drains past the septic tank so it should be drier, If I cut it without the grassbox on and then rake it up I should be able to get a reasonable cut, then I can get out with the strimmer and tidy it all up. I quite fancy an afternoon in my farmer-gear working outside, it'll be nice to see the poultry, we've only seen each other in passing this week as they've gone to bed by the time I get home now.

ION we've got JJ and KW coming to stay this weekend which will be brilliant, we'll have a fire out in the paddock on Saturday as long as the weather isn't too inclement, it's supposed to be cold and clear which will be fine and at least JJ won't be too hot I've also been roped into getting up for fit camp on Saturday morning so I may go and do shopping at Wallyworld afterwards, at least I can get my car washed while I'm shopping which will be useful!

Well, now I'd better get on with some reporting stuff I've got to get done on the downstairs computer. Catch you all later xx

It's a sad day. 2 of my colleagues are being made redundant and leaving today and one of them interviewed me and offered me the job and the other was with me when I went to Munich last year. Some of the fun element will be leaving the office. They will be very missed
