I know what you mean about Tresco, but I'm really thinking horses for courses selection here. I haven't read his autobiography, but I was always under the impression it was the travel he couldn't cope with, not the cricket. I did put him in as a bit of a leftfield selection though, as I doubt they'd pick him in a million years. I don't know anything about Trott either, but he's the one they chose and he's got to be better than Bell. I'm really not sure about Key either, but the current lot just aren't good enough. Perhaps we could coax Vaughan back!

Surprise ! Flintoff has been passed fit to play. Even though the match isn't for a week.

Ramps is being considered. Clicky. Not sure if they will, because if it goes wrong, they'll never hear the end of it. Not to mention he has a better record against Australia than his overall record. Clicky. Though, of course, none of the bowlers of his time are still playing.

England 14 named as:-
Strauss Anderson Bell Broad Collingwood Cook Flintoff Harmisson Onions Panesar Prior Sidebottom Swann Trott
Bopara has been dropped in favour of Trott - no real surprise there.
I am surprised Panesar has been re-called as speaking as a Northants member he has been struggling to even buy a wicket this season
Still think it will be a draw as The Oval wicket has been as flat as a pancake this year.

Australia 94-4! Hussey out for a duck and Punter out for 8. Stuart Broad has all four wickets. The test is suddenly wide open after England looked to have mucked it up majorly in the middle order.
I think it's fairly certain now somebody is going to win this test. I just have no clue at all which side it's going to be.

I don't know what to say. I was listening to wickets falling like skittles as I drove home through torrential rain.
Amazing.

133-8 at tea. My Aussie mate is getting annoyed by my constant texts.
