Turns out I can fit in some newer 'small' cars

(Got the hire car today after mine was written off, not a bad little motor tbh)

Nice. :D

I particularly liked the clip of Jeremy Clarkson driving his little car along corridors at the BBC.

It's a fair bit bigger than that, it's a Seat Ibiza :)

Has some pretty nifty features, including a aux socket (why don't more cars come with one as standard?), cruise control and a little thing telling me when I need to change gear for fuel economy savings, but the engine is gutless at low revs :(

The Ibiza isn't a small car :? I would class it as a mid-sized family car. Small would be the Alrosa or the VW Fox...

Like big_D says though, that ain't exactly a small car. Mind you I've had problems with my legs getting stuck under the wheel of some cars that are supposed to be reasonable sized.

It's strange what extras cars come with, we finally worked out why spiders had made comfortable homes inside the wing mirror, turns out we have heating for them which has been keep them nice an cosy. :D

I have more bones than this time last year. It's been confirmed officially, too.

Had a lay in until 7.40am, managed to get the bins out and keeping the cats in. Caught the 8.30am train to Liverpool Street and it was half empty so got a seat straight away and read my Larsson book all the way to work.

Bitch from hell HR manager has been trying to get hold of me from a meeting room. I was on a conference call so asked someone who was in there online. Now I know I'm not returning calls. It can walk up here and find me if it wants me. Putting 'she' in makes it human which it ain't.

*arms crossed in obstinance*

Sounds like the HR department in my last job down south, before I moved up to Manchester.

They refused to pay me when I was off sick for 3 weeks, as I hadn't given them the sick notes before I went back to work, so I wrote my letter of resignation and told them I was leaving. The HR woman told me that her boss was out of the office and would be back in 10 minutes, and if I walked out they would sue me for breach of contract, so I told her I'd come back in half an hour and if he wasn't there I would walk.

I used the half hour to go around and say my goodbyes, then went back to HR, but the boss wasn't back and his minion repeated her threat, so I wrote down my new address and told her I'd look forward to seeing her in court.

That was ten and a half years ago, and I haven't heard anything yet...
