Me too! Hate the ones at work, which are perpetually hard as a rock. Apart from the one I had today. Which was moist and chewy and yum. But most times, it's not. And it's lame.

For no real reason I keep thinking I'd have preferred David to win the leadership of the Labour party.

Not me. Biscuits should be crispy - the clue's in the name tbh. Strictly speaking though, a proper cookie (as in the Dutch word "koekje") should be a slightly-raised cake, rather than an undercooked biscuit.

I like my biscuits crisp and fully cooked
No soggy biscuits for me!

Exactomondo. A cookie is not a biscuit. I think biscuit means "twice baked" and hence crispy from Italian roots, but I cba to look it up just now. Biscuits are biscuity. Cakes are cakey. Cookies are cookie e like, like. I'll tell you what really gets my goat though; commercial flap-jacks! They're always under-cooked and disgusting. They should be cooked through and crispy on the outside. Crispy I tell thee! At the very least, they should taste of toffee rather than raw oats

I used to like flapjacks. Mum made them and they were yummy. Now I'm put off by the soft, soggy toffee flavoured [LIFTED] I had the displeasure of trying. Whilst on a cake theme does anyone remember cornflake cake at school. It's pastry and apple sauce with cornflake topping. Yummy. The thing is a local shop sell it but use jam rather than apple. It's just not the same.

How to get in touch with my mates in Aberdeen when I don't have my mobile with me (and therefor don't have their numbers) so I can have a night out tonight rather than just sitting in the staff flat. I can't use Facebook as the office firewall won't let me on it.
