I have always made my cats work for their treats/food. Some would consider it teasing but as they always get what they work for in the end it is not teasing in the true sense.

My cat always teased me for food. If she pushed it too far, I would suddenly run out of the room or scratch her.
I never was convinced who was master...

It hasn't done any wrong for just over a year. It's currently pushing up daffodils. Or maybe Tulips. sounds like there should be a cat program called "its me or the cat" theres a dog version where it shows foreign English familys who cant even train there pets properly and the pets "own" the owners, sad to see so many people cant even train and control a pet properly  _________________
