I never really did see the point of daylight savings.

To protect children walking to school in the dark, when the motorists are still fast asleep... Nowadays they are all in SUVs with sleeping parents...

The dark sucks. What they need is a system that makes it sunny all the time. I don't care how much it costs or what time it is, just stop it being dark and cold

Getting up an hour early all summer does nothing to help that. If we the clocks didn't change then we'd be on GMT all year, like we used to be.

Cold is good, it's nice to have some sensible weather back, though it still a tad too muggy for my liking. Dark isn't nice though, it feels horrible getting up in the morning when it's dark..

+1 for cold/mildly warm. It's so refreshing to walk outside at the moment, I love it.

I prefer it cooler, then you could walk faster without over heating and just slow down to cool down. So much nicer.

Cool air AND darkness for me in the mornings - I walk everywhere, so the cool air in the mornings and the lack of sunlight to blind me works out well

I actually prefer the lighter mornings after the clocks go back, even though it's then darker when I leave work. It takes quite a mental toll after a while, leaving home in the morning in the pitch dark, and arriving back home in the evning in the pitch dark as well. The time changes just switch things up a bit and help my attitude no end

Am I the only one here who doesn't bother changing the clocks, under the asumption that they'll be right again in 6 months or so, and adding, (or taking away) one hour in your head isn't exactly rocket science?

On my work mobile, the cooker and the microwave we leave the time alone. I can't even be bothered to set up the automatic changing on the 'phone. Mark

It depends, sometimes I change them, sometimes I leave them - I haven't bothered changing the one in the car yet... Last spring we started a dance course just as the clocks changed. We spent the night at my girfriends, changed all the clocks there, then drove to my place... The dance studio rang up to find out if we were still interested in doing the course, because we hadn't turned up...
