I forgot to say, apart from the video card (4.6), the rest of the system scores a 7.1 on the Windows performance index thing.

Installed it on my new Toshiba Tecra (well, July 2009 model).

Went through without a hitch (64-bit version). All main hardware automatically recognised and installed, the only things which don't seem to have been recognised are the fingerprint reader and the card reader. Everything else is up and working.

I use MyDefrag, formerly JKDefrag. It isn't 64-bit, but it works fine.

Just ran that and it gave my system an overall score of 7.0 - says ram is best at 7.7 followed by cpu at 7.4. Suprisingly it rates my prmary hard drive the worst at 7.0 even though its a Crucial M225 SSD :?

I think the storage device, whether it's a HDD or SSD, will always be the biggest bottle neck in a system.

I ran the performance test and scored 7.4 (for the HDD). The other four components all rated a 7.5.

The new system I have just built with a 64GB M225 also gets 7.0.

I get 5.9 - the HDD lets it down. The next lowest score is the CPU at 7.3, the rest scores 7.5.

Carrying on from 1st looks - been running Win7 for a week now and still quite impressed with it.

Had problems with the DVD burner software - had to burn 2 DVD's - 1st one was fine but Win7 refused to burn the 2nd - kept asking for a blank DVD-R which was already in  In the end lost patience with it and downloaded Nero 9 (free download!) and using that.

Did not realise Win7 does not come with Movie Maker - had to download that from Microsoft as part of their "Live" program - but it works fine.

Had some guys at work asking me about Win7 and I have to say I have been recommending it as cannot find much wrong.
