style of celebrities is typically offensive for the era, shorter, brighter, tighter etc. and that's what a lot of people emulate when going out clubbing

on the other hand, everyday fashion is really conservative this year, especially with calf length skirts/ 50s style dresses and skirts being in fashion.

Could I take a moment to remind everyone that even Marilyn did some nude photo shoots? I'm not judging her, or anyone else for that matter, just reminding you all that at some stage we need to ditch the pink tinted lenses, as I suspect that the good old days weren't, in many respects, actually that different to today.

The Marilyn Monroe playboy shoot, given it's from the 1950's, isn't very risque by 2014 standards. I've seen perfume adverts that are ruder. Nevertheless you're right in suggesting that 'doing things that are a bit shocking' is a well worn path for upcoming actors.

To me though.. I generally just think 'really? Is your market entirely teenage boys then?'
